happier note.

That last post was sad.

Good things are happening in my life too.

5 Good Things:
1. Bought wedding shoes today!
2. Ordered my bouquet! (hint: not real flowers...hmm)
3. Got some helpful wedding money
4. Did laundry. (trust me, it's a good thing)
5. I got like 5 RSVP's today! (RSVP's = happy Heather)

december?!?!

How did it happen - again!
Time is flying by all too quickly!

lifeasiknowit.

-Got a call today about the wedding... it was kind of a punch in the face (but a good kind) that I really needed to get into perspective...and I really need to get the ball rolling. I. Me. Not other people. I am so much better at delegating than doing. Apparenly when planning a wedding it's about doing...so I am working on that.

-This is to-do list weekend. And things shall get done. Lists shall me made. Help will officially be enlisted. I can do this. I can talk to people. [I can ask for help.]

-Planning a wedding is hard.
-Planning an out-of-state wedding is harder.
-Planning a wedding without your girls/support/encouragers nearby is the hardest.

-Got time off [barely] for the PUMP shower in Portland next weekend. I miss that place. More than a lot of things. It will be a crazy weekend, go by all to fast, and not accomplish enough... we are bringing back a Sean so that's fun.

-We have nowhere to live. I have stuff everywhere it shouldn't have to be. I want my own home. Or at least my own storage unit.

-I'm so homesick I'm pretty much comatose.

(side note: STILL cannot add photos. This is driving me nuts and causing me to blog less...)

november?!?!

How did this happen? It's almost mid-November!

A recap of life:
- Pumpkin times: traveling friends Darcy & Hutch + Bass Pro + Pumpkin shooters + photos & more?! = Yes, please.

- Carving times: Dull knives + orange goo + sticky hands + 3 wolf moon + "It's a trap!" = Three flavors of pumpkin seeds and two glowing orange balls.

- Halloween times: Michael+Leatherface +Jigsaw +It +lots of black plastic & a couple cans of spray paint + a dead nun & a witch = best scary garage ever.

- November times: Realization that wedding's around the corner + woohoo job at Target + when/how are we getting a wedding license? + awesome wedding shower + ineedtobeinportlandbuthaveajobhere + freaking out = me.

Right now.

whoops!

just bought this.

Found it for under five dollars - how could I resist?

time flies when you sleep till noon.

Time is flying somehow (the days seem so long) and the wedding is getting closer and closer. However, things just got a bit better as today I was offered a job at Target (pending my drug test which I will pass with flying colors!) I'll be on the Sales Floor, basically making things look pretty, which I do anyway! I'll also cashier when times are busy. It's just seasonal- but - if I am part of the 'cream of the crop' they may ask me to stay on. However, this is really a good thing being Seasonal since at the end of the season I'm getting married (!!!!) and will need time off. Plus, Target is one of my favorite stores ever!

Speaking of this whole wedding shabang, man is it hard when you are a)not in the city where it will be held. b)not with any of your bridesmaids for emotional support or to bounce random thoughts off of c)getting harder and harder to make money come from nowhere. But - it IS coming along. The days are getting closer and most things are coming together (whew!). In five sleeps Darcy is coming through town so at least I will have that time to gush, and gab, and be a girly girl. Even if just for a night.

I have been so blessed with this wedding. Dress number two should be here by the end of the month. (Two?!!? you ask? Yeah...between a few meltdowns, hardy looks in the mirror, and a few other emotions and realizations it had come to that point.) God does crazy amazing things when you give it all to Him. This wedding WILL be under $1000 which is unheard of. Well, for at least what I'm trying (ahem-will!) pull off. Okay...maybe a little over. Don't quote me on that. When people ask my budget I literally say zero. Because that's really how it is. I have to thank the Apache Indians, my mother, plus willing and able friends to pull this all together.

Oh, and I have that whole Sketchbook Project thing! AH!!! I am regretting my theme and feeling bound by it (though they say we aren't). I pretty much have to finish or be close to it by the wedding because the due date is just after the wedding. Busy busy me. Busy bee.

Wow, this is a really long post. And it includes my thoughts. Crazy. Well my hands are really cold and it's making it hard to type. So, I shall get back to you later.

((So, we got a new (old) computer and sometimes it doesn't allow my to click things...like the 'add photo' button. So no photos this time. But I MUST remedy this!))

10.10.10.

Ah! I am so upset with myself that a)I have been away for so long and b)this 10 10 10 post is NOT on 10 10 10!

10 things I hate about today (pretend this was in fact written on 10.10.10)

1. I didn't have a 10 10 10 party.
2. I forgot to tweet at 10:10. Both am and pm.
3. I had to miss my friend's wedding.
4. Still unemployed.
5. Wasted the day by napping because of lack of sleep night before.
6. Nothing really eventful happened in my life.
7. More nagging.
8. No adventures.
9. No celebratory "woohoo's" on either 10:10
10. I lost at Office Clue though I figured it out!

This is sad.
To make this better,

10 thing that were good today:

1. I finally played Office Clue for the first time since I got it for Christmas.
2. Within 20 minutes, I thought about, made, and served yellow cake cookies with homemade frosting. (frosting was already prepared.)
3. An evening with friends and games.
4. A well needed nap.
5. A Sunday baptism at church.
6. A sermon that kept my attention the whole time. Mostly.
7. Spencer.
8. My friend got married and she might be more ocd than me - yay 10.10.10!
9. Darcy texts in the middle of church. Kevin's kool-aid face.
10. I was alive on 10.10.10.

the sketchbook project.

As if planning/attempting to pay for a wedding isn't enough...

...I just signed up for this.

The Sketchbook Project: 2011

I'm pretty excited.
I chose the "in 5 minutes..." theme.
I don't really know why. But I did.

I'll be in a museum tour! It'll be awesome.

current obsession.

[red] umbrellas.

Perhaps it's because I love the rain.
Perhaps it's because it's Mary Poppin's main mode of transportation.
Perhaps it's because I am drawn to the color red.

Nevertheless,
I find myself
attracted,

obsessed.

Artist: Leonid AfremovI can't even begin to express my love for this. There are a lot similar to this one. They will probably get their own post someday. I think this is beautiful.

This was from Google Images and although there is no red, there is so, so much in this I adore.
Daywear and bubble umbrellas? Yes, please.

Whoops. Here's some more.

current obsession.

One of THE most useful items to not be ashamed to own many of: mason jars.

As if I need to explain myself.

These first few photos come from here.

What would YOU use them for?
They may or may not be a part of my wedding.

I'm getting married!

And an apron.

is anybody there?

I feel like nobody reads this.

So I ordered invitations on Sunday. I'm trying to get them out by the end of the month because that will be the three month mark and that's when The Knot tells me to send them out. I've lately been second guessing pretty much everything about the wedding, except for the groom :)

On another note, an infomercial came on the other night (don't judge me), this was the second time I saw it . . . and it was confirmed that I had to have it! So in a few weeks I will be the proud OCD owner of the Wonder File.

On another note, I am super happy about this new background I found - and it has tissue puffs! I am becoming obsessed with them! I've only made one myself... and it may or may not be hanging in my room.

If you are one of few (if any!) who find themselves reading this, please leave a comment and share some blog-o-sphere love! I will leave you with this:

the second of my wildflowers collection.
you are the first to see it! you should consider yourselves so lucky ;)

two complaints.

1a) I don't know how to make my own blog background and have to have other pre-made ones.
1b) Sometimes they just go away and then you have to find a new one.
2) I feel like everyone is judging every move I make regarding my wedding. MY wedding. Everybody calm down, it will happen how it happens.

Now, to cheer up this post and make me feel better about life:

contest.

I entered my first blog contest on this lovely site.

It's for a $100 shopping spree that I will use to spoil my lovely flower girls in my wedding!
(and maybe I'll find some things for my bridesmaids as well.)

I hope I win :)

**Update**

Apparently I didn't win. Nobody notified me. Haha.
BUT I did end up buying two GINORMOUS white daisies... which may or may not appear in my wedding... if they don't take over the thing.

this. is. beautiful.

blog stalking.

Well, I'm at it again!
I love reading blogs.
They lead me to great places.

Where I find things like this:

At this magical place, you click on the 'art' on the walls, takes you to the artist and then you can go from there! Click to go there!

I'll leave you with this lovely.

current obsessions.

anemones.
Not to be confused with the sea-kind.
They remind me of poppies (they are in the same family), which I also love.

I don't think they will fit my 'budget', since the budget it like $5, BUT I will find some way to incorporate them... because I'm determined.

See how lovely they are?

mustache-on-a-stick.
How fun is this?

These ones are made of chocolate, so what's not to love? I have seen paper ones, clay ones...red ones, white ones... the possibilities are endless! Great photo opp = hellloooOOOo! Love it.
Love these ones too. They are from an Etsy shop!

This real life fairytale party.

Although I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, the birthday fairy & her three fairy friends, or the party planners ;)
I need little girls.

Those are today's obsessions... hope you love them as much as I do!

too cute!

My friend Casey showed me these 'Momiji' dolls at Powell's, and I keep seeing them everywhere. I want one! I need one! Although, once I were to get one I feel the addiction would just grow... they all come with little secrets on the bottom. These are just a few that I am loving.

'piou-chou'

I like sleeping in my bird's cage.

'Ruby'
I like marshmallows and karaoke.

'Love'
I like lollypops and love letters.

Okay, just one more.

Just ended up on Kaboodle, which I love because the whole point of it is to make lists! How perfect?
Anyway, I also came across this amazing cute table and chairs set.
I wish I was a kid and I wish my parents had the money to buy this. Just imagine the fun you could have!

And then we could have a tea party!

for those about to read...

we salute you.

Or I do anyway.

I need an outlet. My other blog, while having a creative web address, has been good to me it is more for rants and raves. I need a place where I can gush about all things girly, or crafty... and anything in between. And about things I love. Right here. Right now. And here and now, I love rainboots and tutus.
