good and bad.

I failed.
I was suppose to be a part of The Sketchbook Project and I failed.

I didn't finish.
I didn't send anything in.

It was just too hard. I learned about the project about the time I got engaged so the time I had to spend on it was used for planning my wedding. And I ending up not liking the theme I picked. At all.

I guess theses last 6 months could have been worse. It just sucks losing that money and having nothing to show for it.

Well, now I'm prepared.
I will try again (when I can money-wise).

On a completely different note, I got the CD with the photo booth pictures and let me tell you - they turned out great! (Win!) Here are some crowd favorites:

time flies when you sleep till noon.

Time is flying somehow (the days seem so long) and the wedding is getting closer and closer. However, things just got a bit better as today I was offered a job at Target (pending my drug test which I will pass with flying colors!) I'll be on the Sales Floor, basically making things look pretty, which I do anyway! I'll also cashier when times are busy. It's just seasonal- but - if I am part of the 'cream of the crop' they may ask me to stay on. However, this is really a good thing being Seasonal since at the end of the season I'm getting married (!!!!) and will need time off. Plus, Target is one of my favorite stores ever!

Speaking of this whole wedding shabang, man is it hard when you are a)not in the city where it will be held. b)not with any of your bridesmaids for emotional support or to bounce random thoughts off of c)getting harder and harder to make money come from nowhere. But - it IS coming along. The days are getting closer and most things are coming together (whew!). In five sleeps Darcy is coming through town so at least I will have that time to gush, and gab, and be a girly girl. Even if just for a night.

I have been so blessed with this wedding. Dress number two should be here by the end of the month. (Two?!!? you ask? Yeah...between a few meltdowns, hardy looks in the mirror, and a few other emotions and realizations it had come to that point.) God does crazy amazing things when you give it all to Him. This wedding WILL be under $1000 which is unheard of. Well, for at least what I'm trying (ahem-will!) pull off. Okay...maybe a little over. Don't quote me on that. When people ask my budget I literally say zero. Because that's really how it is. I have to thank the Apache Indians, my mother, plus willing and able friends to pull this all together.

Oh, and I have that whole Sketchbook Project thing! AH!!! I am regretting my theme and feeling bound by it (though they say we aren't). I pretty much have to finish or be close to it by the wedding because the due date is just after the wedding. Busy busy me. Busy bee.

Wow, this is a really long post. And it includes my thoughts. Crazy. Well my hands are really cold and it's making it hard to type. So, I shall get back to you later.

((So, we got a new (old) computer and sometimes it doesn't allow my to click things...like the 'add photo' button. So no photos this time. But I MUST remedy this!))

the sketchbook project.

As if planning/attempting to pay for a wedding isn't enough...

...I just signed up for this.

The Sketchbook Project: 2011

I'm pretty excited.
I chose the "in 5 minutes..." theme.
I don't really know why. But I did.

I'll be in a museum tour! It'll be awesome.
